Personal Statement
I have been practising as a qualified BSL/English interpreter since 2022, having completed my Postgraduate Diploma at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).
Prior to becoming an interpreter, I spent most of my career in health and social care. This makes me particularly well suited to assignments involving local authorities, charities and other organisations throughout the sector.
I enjoy workplace and conference interpreting across a range of professions, including corporate settings, data science, IT and business intelligence. I also have extensive experience interpreting in domains relating to politics and current affairs, higher education and trade unionism.
One of my particular strengths is interpreting from BSL to English, ensuring that meaning, tone, emotion and cultural nuance are conveyed clearly and appropriately for the target audience.
I travel extensively across London and the surrounding areas for in-person assignments and have a well-equipped remote interpreting setup at home.
If you’d like to work together, please feel free to get in touch.
