Personal Statement
So, a bit about me! I am NRCPD registered and have been a qualified BSL interpreter since 2010. However, I grew up in the Deaf community with Deaf parents and I would consider myself a native, fluent user of BSL. I also studied Deaf Studies at the University of Bristol and graduated with a first class BSc(hons) degree in 2008.
I enjoy working in many domains and I have extensive experience working with the legal system including interpreting in courts, tribunals, with probation and with legal advocates.
I have also regularly worked within mental health services since 2015 and have regularly worked with Deaf Access to Work (AtW) clients in a variety of employments.
I currently enjoy working in media settings and providing a platform interpreting service at conferences and events.
I am also able to provide a remote interpreting service.
